The “Official” King’s Cup Rules

Ah, King’s Cup. This could quite possibly be the most epic drinking game, and also quite possibly the most fun. The materials are simple. You need a deck of cards, a cup for the “King’s Cup”, and as many people as possible. This works best at a table setting. Below, you will find the rules. I will try to make them as simple as possible for those of you reading this that are already drunk. XD

1. Find a large cup or glass to be deemed as the King’s Cup. Set it in the middle of the table. Make sure it is empty.

2. Find people to play. I would say you need a minimum of 4.

3. Each person needs their own drink.

4. Line the cards up in a circle around the King’s Cup.

Before I give you the rules, let me remind you of what each card means.

2: You — You can choose a player to drink two sips/gulps of their drink, or two players to take one sip/gulp. Oh the power…

3: Me — It’s all you. Take a big sip/gulp of your drink.

4: Whores — A little misogynistic, but all of the “whores” or females must take a large drink of their beverage.

5: Thumb Master — If you flip a 5, you must sneakily place your thumb on the table. Whoever is the last to catch on and place their thumb must take a drink.

6: Dicks — Similar to the 4 for whores, except this time, all the “dicks” or males must drink.

7: Heaven — Reach for the heavens! Last person to reach for the heavens must drink.

8: Pick a Mate — Whoever draws an 8 must pick a partner. From that point on, if you or your partner has to drink, the other person does too. Think of it as tandem drinking.

9: Bust a Rhyme — The person who gets a nine must start a rhyme (for ex: I was going to the store….to pick up a whore….then I wanted more!) Whoever fails to keep the rhyme going must take a drink!

10: Categories — Choose any category (like popular fast food chains). Go around the circle naming things in the category. Whoever messes up or can’t think of anything must take a drink!

Jack: Make a Rule — Make a rule for the game. Be careful because this rule will stand for the rest of the game. Anyone who breaks the rule must drink!

Queen: Question Master — Player who flips over a queen becomes the question master until the next queen is flipped over. This player can ask anybody at any time a question and if that player doesn’t respond with a question to the asker or another player he must drink

K: King’s Cup — The first 3 players who draw a king pour however much of their drink into the King’s Cup that they want. The last person (4th) to draw a King must drink everything that’s in the King’s Cup. Chug chug chug chug!!

A: Waterfall — The person who draws the ace must start chugging. Everyone else must follow suit. The chug can go on as long as the desire to chug is there. You may not stop chugging until the person next to you stops. So the card drawer stops, then the person next to him, and so on. It’s a chain reaction.

Ok, now for the rules. Simple enough.

1. Take turns turning over a card.
2. Don’t try to get fancy amending the rules until you are familiar with the game.
3. That’s it! Have fun and get drunk! But please, DON’T DRIVE!
