The awesome happy hours on this list have the perfect combination of good drinks, tasty food and low prices that keep customers coming back again and again. Woodie’s Flat, Old Town

Woodie’s is a neighborhood bar that offers some delicious, indulgent foods like their mac and cheese stuffed fried chicken or their appetizer platter that includes homemade pretzels, chicken & waffle bites, soggies, wings, and a few cheesy sliders. They do not offer discounts on food during happy hour, but all their food is reasonably priced enough that it shouldn’t put you off. Their drink specials include half off selected spirits including Ketel One, Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, and Don Julio, as well as $2 pints of their beer of the month. You can get these deals if you visit Woodie’s Monday through Friday between 5-7pm, and on Sundays from 8-10pm.

Emporium, Logan Square

Emporium is a unique arcade themed bar that offers a large variety of classic arcade games and pinball machines for guests to play with during their stay. The game machines even have cup holders, so you are able to play without worrying where to put your drink. During their happy hour, which takes place on Mondays between 5 and 9pm, they offer $2 PBR, $2 well whiskey, and free pool.

Cold Storage, West Loop

Cold Storage is a hip West Loop spot, offering trendy interior design and equally cool cocktails and appetizers. They are best known for their steaks and super fresh seafood. Their happy hour specials take place Monday through Friday between 3 and 6pm, and include $3 draft beers, as well as $1 oysters.

Gideon Welles, Ravenswood

Those looking for a relaxing spot on the Northside will surely enjoy their visit to Gideon Welles, a local neighborhood pub offering a comfortable setting for guests. They have an extensive menu of savory meals and plenty of local beer options. Monday through Friday, between 3 and 5pm, they offer happy hours specials that include $2 Miller Lite, $3 Amstel and Heineken, as well as half off of all of their Illinois craft beer selection.

Oak + Char, River North

Oak + Char prides themselves on offering modern, midwestern dining, which includes approachable food and drinks, and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere for guests. Oak + Char offers a happy hour that surpasses most. Every day of the week, between 4:30 and 6:30pm, guests can order $2 Miller High Life drafts, $4 craft beer drafts, $6 house cocktails, and $8 prime double cheeseburgers. Although not included in their happy hour specials, their chicken wings are insanely good and worth paying full price for during your visit.
