Use strawberries soaked in champagne to rethink your favorite dessert. Dip the alcohol-infused berries in chocolate for a yummy albeit slightly messy treat. This works perfectly with other berries as well, try experimenting with raspberries or soaking your fruit in vodka to mix it up. 

Fruit Salad Kabobs

Choose the liquor of your choice typically either tequila, vodka, or rum. Slice up a combination of your favorite fresh fruits such as watermelon, mango, pineapple, and strawberries. You may also want to add blueberries for a bit of color. Let the fruit soak in the alcohol for approximately two to three hours. Though you can let them soak longer, the fruit may begin to shrivel a bit and will not work as well for a kabob. Skewer the now-boozy fruit, and serve. 

Summer Sangria Pops

Mix up your favorite sangria recipe ie white wine and some fruit juice. Then chop up and add some fresh fruit. Pour into a popsicle mold, and let sit overnight. The next day you’ll have an alcoholic version of a refreshing frozen pop.

Pina Colada Bites

Let your pineapple soak in rum for at least three hours. Note, pineapple does not become mushy or discolored as quickly as other fruits, so you can let it soak a bit longer. Dip in a cream cheese fruit dip (or make your own version), then roll in sweetened coconut flakes. For an alternate version serve the rum-infused pineapple over vanilla ice cream and top with coconut flakes.

THE QUARANTINI

A new spin on a yellow fever, the quarantini is a combination of sweet and sour- kind of like life when you’re stuck at home.

1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce Galliano
1/2 ounce lime juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
garnish with toilet paper to show how rich you are

THE VODKA-C 

Put a little vitamin C into your life with this spritzer. Orange juice and any immune boosting powder added to vodka creates a funny little ode to our immune systems and a delicious, hilarious party drink.

2 oz vodka
splash of orange juice
1/2 Emergen-C packet
splash of sparking water
garnish with oranges

THE CURE

Find some old test tubes or beakers you have laying around and come up with your own cure- for quarantine boredom- with this delightful mix. You can substitute with any blue liquor.

2 oz Hypnotiq
2 oz white wine
splash of ginger ale
serve in beaker for maximum effect

The Social Dist-shandy

This one is for sharing with your social distancing buddies while relaxing in your yard watching the grass grow.

1 bottle Budlight beer
2 oz peach brandy
splash of strawberry lemonade
garnish with a face mask to make sure no one coughs into it

THE BOREDOM BOWL

This is for the third week of quarantine, when you’ve organized your entire closet, deleted all 700 of your spam e-mails and watched everything on Netflix. It’s boring, but delicious.

2 oz strawberry liqueur
2 oz strawberry Budlight Seltzer
splash of orange juice
garnish with a strawberry that you have removed all the seeds from with tweezers

Pamplemousse

Ah, pamplemousse—so much fun to say! It is, of course, the French word for “grapefruit,” and as we’re sure you’ll agree, everyone should say “pamplemousse” instead, for the entirety of forever. While many cocktails call themselves by this tongue-pleasing term, they are merely masquerading, and you should not believe them. No, if you’re in the mood for a simple drink that doesn’t pack a lot of punch but still tastes delicious, this is the Pamplemousse for you.

Recipe:

1 ounce of dry gin
½ of an ounce of elderflower liqueur
1 ounce of freshly squeeze grapefruit juice
½ of an ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 large basil leaf for the garnish
Ice

Grab your cocktail shaker, fill it with ice, then add everything except the basil and shake vigorously. Strain the mixture into a coupe glass that you’ve chilled, then float the basil leaf on top.

An Americano

The Americano is simplicity itself. It’s low-key, laid-back, and it has less alcohol than most traditional cocktails. It lends itself quite well to sipping, especially on a long, hot afternoon in the summer. It’s a popular cocktail for the Fourth of July, as well, but to be honest, that’s mostly because of the color. You won’t want to reserve this for just one holiday. If you’ve never tried it, we implore you to give it a taste.

Recipe:
1 ounce of Campari
1 ounce of vermouth
Club soda
1 orange twist for garnish

Fill a highball or rocks glass with ice, then pour in the vermouth and the Campari. Top it off with the club soda, then place the orange twist wherever you please.

Campari and Soda

Campari is a popular choice for low-key cocktails with equally low alcohol content. It goes down lighter than other liquors, it mixes well, and you get a nice, warm buzz from it without feeling the need to get rip-roaringly drunk. Everybody needs a comfortable, relaxed evening sometimes. A cocktail like this is particularly helpful if you don’t enjoy drinking a lot, but you don’t want to be awkward while you’re out with a group. You’re welcome.

Recipe:

2 ounces of Campari
Soda water
Lime or lemon wedge for garnish

Fill a highball glass with ice, pour in the Campari, then top it off with the soda water. Garnish it with your citrus wedge of choice and serve or sip yourself.

Sangria

Sangria is a lovely, lightweight punch. In theory, it contains a lot of alcohol, but the batches are so big, and there are so many ingredients, the content is safely diluted. That means you can enjoy glass after glass of this, and believe us, you’ll want to. Bear in mind that you can substitute any kinds of wine, fruits, and juices you like. Don’t be put off by the massive ingredients list, either; the execution itself is effortless.

Recipe:

½ of a cup of brandy
¼ of a cup of lemon juice
1/3 of a cup of frozen lemonade concentrate
1/3 of a cup of orange juice
1 bottle of dry red wine
½ of a cup of triple sec
1 sliced orange
1 sliced lemon
1 sliced lime
¼ of a cup of white sugar, optional
8 maraschino cherries
2 cups of carbonated water, optional

Get a large punch bowl or pitcher and add everything except the club soda. Just let the citrus slices and cherries float. Place it in the fridge overnight. If you’re using the water, add it just before you serve the punch.

This is … well, this is definitely a drink. The funny thing is that once you see the ingredients list, it kind of starts to make sense. Everything sort of goes together. It’s a popular drink at LGBTQ+ bars (trust us, we know) and bachelorette parties (why?), but honestly, it’s so tasty that you might want to try it yourself. It could even become your new favorite cocktail—if only in the privacy of your own home.

Recipe:

Two parts of butterscotch Schnapps
One part of Baileys

Just layer both liquors in a shot glass and guzzle.

Adios Motherfucker

This bright blue concoction looks so sweet and innocent on the outside, but it’s like a glass full of bad decisions. You know why it’s called an Adios Motherfucker? Because after you get through a single cocktail, it’s goodnight, moon. You won’t remember to drink water once you get home, so the best advice we can give you is to place a water cooler beside your bed before you pass out for the night.

Recipe:

½ of an ounce of vodka
½ of an ounce of rum
½ of an ounce of tequila
½ of an ounce of gin
½ of an ounce of Blue Curacao liqueur
2 ounces of sweet and sour mix
2 ounces of 7-UP

Chill a glass, fill it up with ice, then add everything except the 7-UP—save that to top off the drink. Give it a little stir, take your first sip, and say adios, motherfu—oh, sorry.

Sex on My Face

Interesting name, no? Interesting drink, too. It’s not quite the Big Glass of Bad Decisions the previous cocktail is, but almost. It’s potent enough that, yeah, you might just end the night trying to … well, never mind. You’ll have to see for yourself. Recipe:

½ of an ounce of Yukon Jack Canadian whiskey
½ of an ounce of coconut rum
½ of an ounce of Southern Comfort peach liqueur
½ of an ounce of banana liqueur
1 splash of cranberry juice
1 splash of pineapple juice
1 splash of orange juice

Fill a tall glass with ice, add all the ingredients, and stir gently. Enjoy!

Angel’s Tit

Hee hee hee! No, but really, this is actually a pretty tasty cocktail. Sweet, yes, it’s terribly sweet, and it contains heavy cream, so it’s quite rich, as well. However, once you see it made, garnish and all, you’ll understand the reason for the name. Frankly, we think it’s kind of adorable, but it also makes us giggle.

Recipe:

¼ of an ounce of Creme de Cacao
¼ of an ounce of maraschino liqueur
¼ of an ounce of heavy cream
Maraschino cherries for garnish

Layer all of the ingredients in a shot glass, exactly in order. Let the mixture chill for half an hour, then garnish with a cherry before serving.
