There was a time when those unable to ingest gluten, or those that wanted to cut gluten out of their diet, needed to say goodbye to beer altogether. But now, due to the growing trends and popularity related to the gluten free movement, beer manufactures are producing some delicious options that everyone can enjoy. All the brews on the list are completely gluten free, and dangerously delicious, leaving you unable to taste the difference.

1. Omission Lager

Omission Beers uses a unique practice to make sure their beers are gluten free, through use of a proprietary process that removes the gluten from the beer. Brewed in the United States, Omission makes three brews as of the moment, all gluten free. The first is an American Lager that is aromatic, crisp and delicious. It has even won a few awards for being so tasty. The next brew they offer is their bold and hoppy Pale Ale, offering notes of caramel and honey. The third beer on Omission’s current roster is a bright, northwest style IPA, that features notes of pine, citrus and grapefruit aromas.

2. Glutenator

Our next pick comes from Epic Brewing Company, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their well known gluten free beer is called Glutenator, and is made with some surprising ingredients. Glutenator is made with brown rice, sweet potatoes and molasses, as well as a number of other traditional beer ingredients. The beer has a golden color paired with aromas of sweet potatoes and hops. This beer pairs well with lighter foods like salads, chicken and fish. It is easy drinking, and approachable for beer drinkers of all kinds.

3. New Planet Raspberry Ale

New Planet is another awesome brewery that removes gluten from its beers so they can be enjoyed by all, without missing out on the taste of traditional beers. The raspberry ale is made with real raspberry puree and orange peel. The raspberry ale is a popular brew, but New Planet also offers a few other types as well. The raspberry ale is crisp, zesty and offers a citrusy finish. New Planet also offers a pale ale, blonde ale, their Seclusion IPA and Tread Lightly Ale. Plenty of options for those sick of the run of the mill, gluten free beers available in stores.

4. Glutenberg Pale Ale

This Canadian brewery has won a number of awards for their delicious, gluten free beers. At the moment, Glutenberg is offering five brews including the popular American Pale Ale, Blonde Ale, Red Ale, White Ale and India Pale Ale. With the goal to make some of the best tasting gluten free beers on the market, their variety of offerings are sure to please beer drinkers of preferences.

5. Celia Saison

Ipswich Brewery doesn’t offer many gluten free brews, but their Celia Saison is surely a stand out among traditional beers containing gluten. Located in Ipswich, Massachusetts, this eastern brewery also offers a tap room with tasty food worth stopping in or if you’re in the area. Their Celia Saison is flavorful, featuring soft notes of orange peel.
